I think Atlantic Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine has an absolutely wonderful group of providers! Meeting with Christina the other day simply backed up this opinion. She assisted Dr. Quitkin during my trapeziectomy with suspensionplasty and tendon interposition surgery (unfortunately I was out of it before I got to the OR so didn’t get to meet her!) but I met her at my first follow up. She was so friendly and helpful and upbeat! Very impressive! She was great at explaining things and answering my questions. A shout-out to Kevin…BEST cast I’ve ever had!! I am so humbled by all the folks at AOSM with all of their knowledge, skills, personableness (is that a word?—it becomes one when you interact with these folks!) Christina Scardina is fabulous! I broke my upper humerus bone in September '23. As a medical specialist, she really knows her stuff, and I felt safe and well cared for as her patient. She is knowledgeable, sensitive to her patients, prompt, and professional. I felt she genuinely cared about my 'plight,' and listened to me about my concerns, and I found her to be available, approachable, and easy to talk to. Christina Is amazing! She is incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and has a great bedside manner. Very positive attitude and patiently listens to any questions you may have, and gives you succinct answers. I go to Atlantic to get Cortizone shots in the joint of my thumb. I went in for a cortisone shot in my thumb knuckle. I had put it off all summer and suffered. Dr. Scardina did a great job! I've had many cortisone shots in my life and this one I didn't really feel and the pressure of the fluid going nothing really. She took her time made adjustments to mt thumb while doing it.
